Financial Planner

Ryan brings to us an agricultural background from the family farm in Saskatchewan.

Ryan’s commitment to business development allows him to guide our new clients through the transition from farming to retirement. His willingness to listen and understand client concerns has been the key to helping people identify, solve and address their planning issues and develop well thought out tax and retirement strategies.

As part of the wealth management process, he ensures that all financial issues are carefully reviewed for clients including taxation issues, cash flow analysis, insurance needs, estate planning and investment management.

Ryan is a graduate of Red Deer College with a Diploma in Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. He holds designations as a Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Elder Planning Counselor (EPC). He has also completed the LLQP licensing requirements for the Alberta Insurance Council.

Outside the office, Ryan remains very active in the community, serving or having served on a number of boards of sport associations, youth associations and service clubs. He continues to coach a number of sports teams that his and Carole’s three kids are continually involved with.

Parker Pellegrini, CFA^®, CFP^®, P.Eng.

Financial Planner

Parker is engaged in business development and in preparing and evaluating ongoing planning reviews with our clients. His professional approach and passion for helping clients achieve their financial milestones takes into consideration taxation issues, cash flow analysis, insurance needs, estate planning and investment management and makes him a valued member of the Pellegrini Financial team.

Parker brings diverse experience to the team, having graduated from the University of Alberta in Electrical Engineering and earning his P. Eng. He is a Certified Financial Planner and has been awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Parker currently holds both mutual funds and insurance licenses in Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Parker’s young family keeps him busy. His wife is a Registered Nurse in the operating room at the Red Deer hospital and he has three kids, the oldest just turned four. Parker and his wife both enjoy sports and have travelled extensively around the world. If you’re planning a trip, he’ll be excited to discuss your plans.

Perry Pellegrini CFA^®, CFP^®, CLU^®, CH.F.C.

Financial Planner

Perry graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1981 with a degree in commerce and has spent more than 30 years in areas sensitive to complex tax and legal issues. He has a diverse background including experience in the areas of real estate, investment, corporate structuring and financing; and has participated through ownership and management, in both closely held partnerships and widely held corporations.

Perry coordinates the tax and financial planning activities of the firm and is primarily responsible for the investment and wealth management aspects of our business through our dealer IPC Investment Corporation.

Perry successfully achieved the Chartered Financial Planner designation and is a member of several financial planning organizations, including Advocis, the CFA Institute and the Financial Planning Standards Council. He holds designations as a Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

Preston Pellegrini

Associate Advisor

Preston joins the team as an Administrative Assistant, with an initial focus on evolving our client-centered services, to provide more efficiencies in our day-to-day operations and systems. With that extra technical expertise, Preston is helping to ensure the Pellegrini Financial team continues to serve our clients in ways that help them achieve their financial goals and milestones.

Preston brings a unique analytical perspective to the Pellegrini Financial team through a vast background in the oil and gas industry as well as experience within the banking sector. An alumnus of the University of Alberta with a degree in Commerce, Preston is currently working towards becoming a designated Certified Financial Planner.

After living in Calgary for ten years, Preston and his wife Ali are excited to return home to Red Deer with their two children. Outside the office Preston’s studies and young children keep him busy. He enjoys spending time with his family, summer weekends at the cabin, and golfing whenever the opportunity presents itself.

Jodi Brown

Investment Administrator

Jodi brings to us years of experience from within the banking industry. This experience in customer service and administrative capacities ensures client requests and questions are dealt with in a timely matter. Her professional approach to organizing and tackling tasks serves her well in her role.

As part of our Administrative Team, her primary responsibility is to process the regulatory and trading paperwork for our clients, while ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of all files. She is also involved in preparing ongoing planning reviews.

Jodi’s objective is to ensure a sense of trust and comfort on an ongoing basis with each of our clients and to facilitate their administrative needs.

Viola Campbell

Investment Administrator

Viola brings to us years of experience within the financial, manufacturing, bookkeeping and media industries. Working in these industries lends well to Viola’s role here, in ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in her work, working with intermediaries and simply providing a steady hand in the office.

As part of our Administrative Team, her primary responsibility is to process the regulatory and trading paperwork for our clients. She is also involved in preparing ongoing planning reviews.

Optimist International (OI) is an outstanding social innovator, passionate about optimism and the support of youth.

Throughout its 100 years of history, OI has not strayed from helping youth and evolving its service projects to best help youth who are not able to help themselves. From around the world, Optimists share a sense of conviction about promoting optimism and helping youth.

The Piper Creek Optimist Club is a community club under OI dedicated to raising money to serve Red Deer and area youth where Ryan has served as President, Secretary, Director and Chaired a number of fundraising events and supported programs, being awarded Optimist of the Year and Presidents Choice award along the way.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students about work readiness, entrepreneurship and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.

Junior Achievement Southern Alberta, reaches over 30,000 students per year. This is all possible through a partnership between the business community, educators and volunteers who work together to inspire young people to reach their dreams and tap into their potential. The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta is the self regulatory body for P. Eng. and P. Geo’s in Alberta. As a Professional Engineer, Parker is still involved in APEGA in Central Alberta, including their annual APEGA Science Olympics.

The APEGA Science Olympics are interactive, inter-school, engineering and geoscience events for students in Grades 1 to 12 that take learning beyond the classroom. Students are given a series of problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of engineering and geoscience, and allow students to see first-hand how these fields impact our everyday lives.

Students cover many areas of scientific study, while learning to work and interact within a group. They use their skills and innovative ideas to develop creative solutions to various challenges. All challenges at these events are related to Alberta school curricula, and have been developed by work groups comprising APEGA Professional Engineers and Professional Geoscientists, and local teachers.
